How to get A Hold of Me

This is our apartment that is located 200 feet away from Ponte Vecchio (how lucky are we...). I thought that the living conditions were going to be horrible but we have more than enough room for the six of us.

Apartment 1: Front Door

This is the front door to our apartment with the Arno to my back.  Mikey is taking a picture toward Ponte Vecchio.

Apartment 2: Hallway

This is the hallway up to our apartment.  We share all of this room with one other apartment above us.

Apartment 3: Looking from our reading room, through the foyer, to the front door.

AReal paintings on the walls, and one of our two chandeliers in the middle of the room.

This is our hang out room.  We have 18 channels on the TV that are all in Italian.  MTV and More Music are the two channels that we watch the most.  Every once and awhile we'll find Ninja Turtles on, or Looney Toons, but they are voiced over in Italian.  I would say that some of my vocabulary comes from watching MTV, so it seems worth while.  The music that they play is interesting because there is American, English, Italian, and Spanish songs mixed together.

Other things we do in this room are work out, eat, and have people over.  The windows in this room overlooks the Ponte Vecchio and Arno River so on nice days, we'll be hangout the windows.

Apartment 5: The bedroom

I share this room with three other guys.  Nick and Matt are from WSU and are doing architecture while Bart is from Virginia Tech and is studying chemical engineering.  The room is just big enough for everyone to have a corner of a desk to call their own.  The closets are behind the right wall and there is enough room for the four of us to not have to share drawers or hanger space.

Apartment 6: Bathroom (The Blue Room)

This is my favorite room in the house.  The toilet is at the end of the hallway and Bart and I share the far sink.  We have a full size bathtub but only enough hot water for two and a half showers, so I have to thank Dad for being an early riser because I always get the first shower.

Apartment 7: The Kitchen

Our kitchen doesn't match up with the rest of our apartment.  We have so much room in every other room but the kitchen.  In Florence, we go grocery shopping every week or two because we just don't have the fridge. space to stock up on food.  I think that most of our meals consist of pasta, meat, onions, and hot sauce.  The one thing that the cheep Italian food lacks is spice or taste depending on how you look at it.  Once again I can thank Mom for peppering everything to death because that is one thing that I put on everything that I cook.  We are lucky enough to have a washer and dish washer, but when ever we run the dish washer, we have a power outage, so we have to be sure to turn off all the lights when we do our dishes.

We also have a middle room, dinning room, foyer, private chappel (yes, this is true), another bedroom, another bathroom, drying room, and ironing room. Know you know why we call it the palace.
